Everyone has to begin their journey somewhere, and many of the most successful business people came from very modest beginnings in their careers. The company that was founded by this entrepreneur was initially quite modest, but it has since expanded to include national brands.



Yesterday, on December 8, I was honored with an invitation to attend the blessing and opening of Freshko's twelfth branch, which is called Freshko La Estrella and is situated next to Alorica and Phoenix Gasoline Station in front of DCWD.




Marylou Gerondio, the owner, got her start in the industry from a P200 investment capital, by rooting through the merchandise in the racks of roadside convenience stores. Following that, she started selling her fruit shakes. When she decided to grow her business and become an exhibitor at a food bazaar, she took advantage of her existing network by spreading the word about the excellent quality of their service and also their fruit shakes through word of mouth.

Gerondio admits that she did not have a real plan, but she was willing to take a chance in order to pursue something that she was passionate about. Because of this, she eventually became the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of the well-known fruit shake company in Davao City known as FRESHKO, which is on its way to becoming nationally recognized.

Dabawenyos can now get their hands on their brand-new UNLI GRILL for only P399, in addition to their natural and healthy regular fruit shakes, float shakes, peanuts, fish crackers, and other offerings.


Guests can help themselves to unlimited servings of pork, beef, chicken, sausage, rice, sauces, lettuce, fresh fruit, and a regular shake. This service is only available between the hours of 4pm and 2am, Monday through Sunday.
