Doña Elena Flat Anchovies in Pure Olive Oil Recipes

My mom use anchovies on a regular basis, but she uses the old style anchovies that can be bought in the local wet market or "palengke". There was a grocery store that regularly carried anchovies, but they have disappeared from the grocery shelves for several months. Surprisingly, Doña Elena collaborates with the Davao Social Media Influencers with the help of the Fly Ace Marketing Manager, Ms. Lormy Papa.


This Doña Elena Anchovy brand is very new in packaging. I love the packaging, it's very handy and storing is not a problem anymore, compared to the old box that they had in the past. It is my favourite so far as they are full of flavour, plus it is easy to cook because it's already very thin and flatten, very perfect for pasta also let them melt into sauces and whatnot.

Honestly,  I thought that I HATED anchovies. The smell and the taste bought into a negative thoughts because of how they use to make it unsafe and unhealthy. When my friend got anchovies on part of the pizza, I thought he was insane. He told me to try it, I was wrong, anchovies can actually save mediocre pizza. But the usefulness of anchovies it goes way beyond pizza. I feel betrayed and dumb that I didn't eat anything for years based on what the other people say, especially since I'm generally willing and eager to try new foods because of what I love doing in my blog. Doña Elena Anchovies need a positive PR campaign stat.


Pasta is my favourite thing that uses olive oil and Anchovies and next best is Oats Arroz Caldo for my GERD life plan meal.

Anchovies are actually pretty good for you since they're high in calcium, potassium and good fatty acids. Eating them can help to lessen your cholesterol level by reducing the bad stuff that can clog your arteries. It helps your bone stronger.

And for us that has Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD), this is good for our diet plan meal. Because they're high in protein, which makes us feel full. Plus they're low in calories (but eat in a moderate way).

Using Doña Elena Anchovies to your daily meal is a good option. Anchovy is now one of my favourite partnered food. If you are a big anchovy fan and you are looking for a great match for your food, the Doña Elena brand should be one in your list, good value and very good quality. And there are more than 15 delicate little fillets in the tin, stuck to each other and packed in a delicious Doña Elena Olive Oil (that I also love to drizzle on my crackers or in my salad). Salted perfectly and not at all overpowering in their salty flavour profile.

Luckily, we were given 6 tin cans of Doña Elena Anchovies for own consumption and for product taste as well. I may have to make more recipes every two months, the way I'm gobbling them up with my viand, on crackers, in my salads, and piling them on my favourite oats, and etc...
